Maria Alm - Basic informations
The Pension Tyrol is situated in a beautiful part of Salzburg, in the township of Maria Alm am Steinernen Meer. The calcareous alpine peaks with the summit of Hochkönig (2941 m above see level) form scenery of the whole valley. The altitude is a guarantee of high quality skiing in winter and unforgettable hiking experience in summer.
The township itself is situated in the hiking and skiing area of Hochkönig Winterreich (excellent skiing resort - just 2-minute drive to the car park of the Aberg resort; a ski bus stop is right next to the pension), which is a part of the biggest skiing area in Austria - Ski Amadé.
The administration and tourist center of this resort is the town of Zell am See, located approx. 15 km from Maria Alm. Saalbych and Leogang, towns attractive from the tourist point of view, are approx. 12 km away, year-round skiing on Kitzsteinborn (Kaprun) 28 km away, Kitzbül approx. 40 km away, Hofgastein spa 45 km away, etc.
